The Braishfield Football Club Pavilion occupies a site at the southern end of the recreation ground.  The pavilion is owned and maintained by the football club and sits on land that is leased from the recreation ground charity.  The current pavilion was completed in 2013 following some dedicated fundraising and a lot of hard work by volunteers who did much of the building and finishing. The terms of the lease are contained in an attached document (1st August 2014 – to be provided when final legal revisions are complete). The granting of the lease was a complex matter since it involved negotiations with the Charity Commission, who had to give permission.  This took over 10 years to achieve and involved a lot of negotiation. Things were made more complex in that a previous clubhouse was built on the same site in 1972, but no-one applied for permission from the Charity Commission at that time…
